About Meditation

It has been scientifically studied by The Laboratory for Affective Neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin and The University of Kentucky Biology Department and proven to reduce stress, slow the aging process, increase reflexes, mental agility, attention span, focus and memory retention. Meditation has even been found to actually reshape the brain, thickening the parts of the cerebral cortex responsible for decision making.

Many large corporations, such as Google, Tower Co.,Deutsche Bank and Hughes aircraft are beginning to offer meditation classes to their employees. What is Meditation and how will it work for you?

Meditation is a the practice of concentration and relaxation, training the mind to stay focused, limit unwanted random thoughts and reduce the amount of mental stimuli that can lead to an overloaded central nervous system. In general, it is a calming of the mind to a trance-like state of tranquility that rejuvenates the mind more effectively than even a good night's sleep because during the sleep state our minds are still active, meandering and pondering events and emotions through our dreams.
